What this website keeps
Nothing of its own. The website has no accounts and no advertising or tracking cookies, and it doesn’t store anything about you on your device.
The application form
The application form on the contact page is run by Jotform, an online form service. It asks for:
- your name, ID number and contact details
- your employer, how long you’ve worked there and your income
- your bank’s name
- a relative’s name, number and address
- your signature
What you enter goes to Gemin Motors through Jotform and is used to assess your application for vehicle finance. Jotform stores it under its own privacy policy.
WhatsApp, calls and email
When you message, call or email Theuns, he sees your number or email address and what you send, and uses it to reply to you about cars and finance. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.
Services the website loads
Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts. The contact page also loads a Google map and the Jotform form. When they load, these services receive your device’s IP address and the page you’re on.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information Gemin Motors holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it’s used. Email wheels@hotmail.co.za.
If you’re not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
